2010–2023 Writings
by Michelle Margaret Fajkus

March 28 - April 4, 2020 Villa Sumaya, Lake Atitlan, Guatemala Healing through Nature, Practice and Simplicity.png

Immerse yourself for a week in a safe space for growth and healing, surrounded by the spectacular beauty of nature and the potent energy of an established retreat center specializing in deep practice.

Yogis of all shapes, sizes, experience levels and genders are invited. Slow flow doesn’t necessarily mean easy, it means moving in a slower, gentler, more mindful way. We’ll deepen our breath together. Sighing, crying, laughing, dancing, sitting still, telling stories and singing—allowing each moment to unfold naturally—are all encouraged.

Regarding the writing, professional writers and poets are certainly welcome, but the writing activities are more of a self-reflective nature. We’ll use the framework of the 7 main chakra energy points in yoga for the writing sessions

Sample Daily Schedule

7:30 Open morning practice (optional)
8:30 Breakfast
11:00-12:30 Writing Circle
1:00 Lunch & Free Time
4:00-5:30 Writing & Yoga Workshop
6:30 Dinner
Michelle2019* All activities are optional! Two days during the week, there will be the opportunity to participate in a Mayan Fire Ceremony and a Sweat Lodge Ceremony. There is also free time for exploring some of the Mayan villages around Lake Atitlan.

Can’t make it in March? This retreat is also being offered from August 1-8, October 24-31 and December 5-12. See more details!

Namaste ~ May all beings be free.
